Purfleet Trust Staff and Volunteers attending first ever Stars of West Norfolk Event

On Friday this week several of our staff and volunteers will be attending the first ever Stars of West Norfolk Event. The awards are designed to recognise the selfless carers, volunteers and workers who go above and beyond the call of duty each day to help our communities in West Norfolk. The EDP back the awards and EDP editor in chief Nigel Pickover said: “We are delighted to be able to honour the brave, kind, and community-spirited people of West Norfolk. It will be a delight to hear their special stories, and I look forward to seeing many, many entries.”

All the finalists are attending a glittering event at the Kings Lynn Corn Exchange this Friday to see who will win in categories like Community Support of the Year, Unsung Hero of the Year and Team of the Year.

Our very own Georgina Futter is nominated for Unsung Hero of the Year and the ever dedicated Kelvin Powell is up for Volunteer of the Year. We hope you’ll join us in wishing them well for the event along with all the other worthy nominees. We hope you all have a great night, you deserve it!
