I’ve been volunteering for 2 and a half years now. I’ve learnt new skills from the other volunteers and staff and it has given me structure and increased my confidence.

Becoming homeless can happen to anyone but it does not define who you are. With the right guidance, advice and practical support we can empower you and help you with decisions that will have a positive impact on your life.
We offer a safe, inclusive and non-judgmental environment with no expectations placed on clients and access to everything you might need. Our teams have a wide range of expertise and experience so whatever your requirements may be, someone will be able to help.
The Health & Wellbeing Centre is our day centre at Austin Fields, King’s Lynn. Find more contact information here
The Health and Wellbeing Centre is often the first point of contact a person experiencing homelessness has with Purfleet. We provide a safe, supportive, welcoming environment where you can access a range of services.
We realise that everyones’ pathway out of homelessness requires different and unique support. After an initial assessment, we will provide you with the bespoke support that you need to move forward to a brighter future.

When you first come to the Centre, we ask to do an assessment with you. This is so we can find out a bit more about you and make sure that we provide the support you need going forward.

At the Centre, we provide breakfast & lunch, showers, laundry services, phone & internet access, postal address, clean clothes, regular health drop-in clinics.

Working with our team will provide you with benefits advice, employment support, education & training, housing advice and more.

We have a strong focus on improving health & wellbeing. We have regular workshops and drop in clinics as well as an on-site gym.

We use the Outcomes Star monitoring tool to work with each individual at their own pace to build confidence, address specific needs and to improve their life skills so they can live independently and contribute positively to their community.
Alongside our partners, we run a range of practical and creative workshops and skills courses. These give clients new opportunities, expands their horizons and gives them new-found confidence.
We realise the importance of providing our clients with new opportunities to learn and grow. Through our creative workshops, our clients can learn new skills and open up in a comfortable and expressive environment to help them on their journey.
The Health & Wellbeing Centre gives clients a sense of community and acceptance.
At our Centre, clients are given hope and support workers who they know will go above and beyond to support them.
Our holistic approach to tackling homelessness means that our clients are supported in all aspects on their pathway out of homelessness and towards a more positive future.

If you need support, or know someone who does, please get in touch or visit our Health & Wellbeing Centre and we will help however we can. No matter what your needs may be, immediately or longer-term, The Purfleet Trust aim to provide a comprehensive package of support.
We offer clients opportunities to gain skills and confidence, to volunteer to help others and longer-term support and advice to maintain sustainable tenancies and employment.
We understand that client needs may be immediate so we help with liaising with emergency and temporary accommodation providers as well as helping address any immediate issues.

I’ve been volunteering for 2 and a half years now. I’ve learnt new skills from the other volunteers and staff and it has given me structure and increased my confidence.

I became homeless and Purfleet helped me when I needed it. Volunteering means I can help other people in my situation, and it helps me to feel normal again.

I volunteer at Purfleet Pathways doing PAT testing on donated electrical items. I have more responsibility now which I was missing in my life. I like that I’m using my skills to give back.

Volunteering at the Purfleet Pantry has contributed to my plans for the future – I’ve constantly been learning new skills. I’ve been trained by Karen and had trial runs managing the shop.
