Purfleet Pathways

Purfleet Pathways is a multi-functional space on North Lynn Industrial Estate where we run 2 main projects, bringing together our services and the local community.

The pathway out of homelessness is often not a straightforward one and we provide long-term support beyond initial housing options, including helping clients progress towards employment. Within Purfleet Pathways we provide both educational and practical opportunities for clients, which you can read more about here.

Training Opportunities

Within Purfleet Pathways we provide both educational and practical opportunities. Our retail shop and our online shop allow clients to gain skills in business that are transferable.

Working with partners such as NWES we hold workshops and have access to grants and loans to help you get a job, or even enter the world of self-employment.

What workshops do we offer?

At Pathways, we provide practical workshops to help clients learn skills in such things as woodwork, furniture upcycling and warehousing as well as training in retail, customer service and marketing.

These workshops help give our clients new skills, opportunity and confidence to find permanent work and improve their life situations and futures.

House 2 Home

The Purfleet Trust’s House 2 Home project provides furniture to clients moving into their new independent accommodation. We understand that moving into accommodation can be exciting but also cause anxiety, especially moving into an unfurnished and unfamiliar environment.

We aim to make sure that every individual has not just a house, but a home.

Why House2Home?

The most important thing when moving into new accommodation is to feel at home. We formed our House 2 Home project as a response to clients moving into their new accommodation, but their accommodation being unfurnished. This can lead to clients not settling in, feeling uncomfortable and risking falling back into homelessness.

House 2 Home works by receiving donated furniture and household items, upcycling and cleaning them up, and producing House 2 Home packages for clients in their new accommodation.

Powered by your donations

Our House2Home service relies on donated furniture to operate. Thanks to your generous donations, we have helped dozens of individuals successfully settle into their new independent accommodation and break the cycle of homelessness.

Thank you.
