Housing Support
Working closely with the Borough Council and DLUHC (Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities), we aim to help people into accommodation and to provide the intensive support to help them maintain their tenancies.
Our goal is to not only help people survive, we want you to thrive.
Purfleet’s Housing Support Goals
Our mission is to help people who are experiencing homelessness, including rough sleeping, and those who are vulnerable to homelessness. We support them into securing suitable, safe, affordable and sustainable accommodation.
To secure suitable, affordable accommodation | To maintain tenancies | To encourage participation in society
The Housing Related Support team provide a range of pre- and post- tenancy specialist housing services for people who are vulnerable to becoming homeless and who have housing related needs.
Our Housing Related Support goals:
- To support for rough sleepers to move off the streets
- To provide a tenancy support service providing housing support to enable people to remain in their home
- To provide housing advice for offenders and people using substance misuse treatment and mental health services
Housing advice 1-to-1s take place on a regular basis for people who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness.
In these 1-to-1s, we provide housing advice and tenancy support to ensure that you remain in your tenancy.
We also conduct assessments for suitability to be considered for our Training Houses and are approved referring agents for some of the hostels in the West Norfolk area.
We also provide housing advice for those facing eviction, and our regular drop-in clinics with Shelter will provide you with expert support if needed.
