🥳 Last night our the Chief Executive, Paula Hall, won the Lifetime Achievement Award at @yourlocalpaper Local Hero Awards!

Paula has been at Purfleet for over 17 years, and she has always put others first and done everything she can to improve the lives of people in vulnerable and challenging situations.

Over this time, Purfleet has helped thousands of people to believe in themselves and to have the confidence to change their own lives, and given them the tools to do so.

Paula’s unwavering passion is an inspiration to everyone around her, and it’s through her leadership and mentorship that staff at The Purfleet Trust continue to inspire and embolden those that they support.

We'd like to give a huge congratulations to Paula for winning this award, as well as @yourlocalpaper , @alivecornexchange and all the event's sponsors for organising the 2024 Local Hero Awards.

Well done to all the winners and nominations last night! Nights like these show us the compassion and inspirational stories that surround us in West Norfolk.

The Purfleet Trust are competing in Tough Mudder!

This summer, a team made of up of people involved with Purfleet will be racing the muddy course - with all money raised going to support people experiencing homelessness in our area.

The 10 mile race has over 20 obstacles and will be a tough task for the team, but they are determined to get over the line and raise money for a good cause!

Today we say farewell and wish a very happy retire

Today we say farewell and wish a very happy retirement to our Van Driver, Darren. 💙

Darren is a well-known face in King's Lynn having a career as a detective in the Police force before joining Purfleet. Having Darren with us for the past few years has been an absolute pleasure.

If you've been generous enough to donate furniture to Purfleet, you may have had Darren knock on your door to collect it. If you've received one of our House2Home packages, Darren would've dropped it off and helped transform your new accommodation into a warm and welcoming home. His hard work has been vital in the Purfleet Pantry launch last year and it's ongoing success.

Darren personified what Purfleet are all about with his passion, understanding, and going above and beyond. Throughout the years, Darren worked as a mentor to some of our clients and provided them with employment experience working alongside him on the van and in our Pathways warehouse.

Everyone at Purfleet would like to give Darren a huge thank you and wish him a very happy (and well-earned!) retirement 💙

The event raised over £21,000 for good causes around West Norfolk, and raised £650 for The Purfleet Trust!

We are delighted to announce that @rathskeller_ will be hosting a monthly quiz in aid of The Purfleet Trust! 💙

To celebrate the start of Rathskeller's monthly quiz, Purfleet will be holding a raffle on the night with the chance to win some great prizes! 🎁

This month, the quiz will be held at 8pm on 21st February and will be welcoming teams of 4-6 people with tickets costing £1 per person.

So please take part for some great fun whilst raising money for Purfleet! 😄
