Inspiring Creativity

Find out the story of one of our clients who’s been inspired to take up painting after attending The Workshop’s Creative Wellbeing Workshops at The Purfleet Trust…

Client artwork at The Workshop
Recently, The Workshop have displayed a number of artworks in their centre in King’s Lynn – all from clients at The Purfleet Trust!

We are delighted that The Workshop have chosen to highlight the pieces from our clients, and one in particular has sat down to express just how much these classes have challenged and inspired him.

Inspiring Creativity

One of our clients who’s art has been displayed is currently living in one of our Training Houses, where he has been for almost a year.

As he develops the skills to move onto independent accommodation, he took part in The Workshop’s Creative Wellbeing Workshops – which have inspired him to take up painting in his spare time!

He said that living in the Training House has helped him to avoid homelessness and get the help he needs from the GP and essential services at Purfleet, like our daily breakfasts and lunches.

It’s incredible to see him inspired through these Creative Wellbeing Workshops and taking up painting in his spare time. He plans to move on from our Training Houses in the new year, with his new found confidence and creative spark found in workshops at the Health & Wellbeing Centre.

Purfleet and The Workshop

Purfleet and The Workshop have worked collaboratively for the past few years to produce creative, engaging and expressive workshops for our clients.

We understand the importance of creativity in improving mental health outcomes, and the importance of giving a voice to people with lived experience.

We’d like to thank The Workshop for all they do with us – their weekly workshops are vital to our clients and provide countless benefits to their mental health and overall outcomes.
