A Weekend of Fundraising!

From taking to the skies at Beccles Airfield to racing down the streets of Hunstanton, Sunday was a fantastic day of fundraising and community support for The Purfleet Trust.

We’re delighted to share the highlights from two incredible events, with brave supporters taking on challenges, raising vital funds and helping us continue supporting people experiencing homelessness.

Team Purfleet takes to the skies!

On Sunday, a brave team of supporters took on a monumental challenge at Beccles Airfield, jumping from 13,000 feet to raise money for The Purfleet Trust.

Among those taking part were our colleague Dawnmarie and her son, Joseph, alongside a team from our partners at The Norfolk Agents.

Taking on a skydive is no small feat, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who faced their fears, stepped outside their comfort zones and helped raise money to support our work.

We’d also like to thank UK Parachuting for helping to make the day such a success.

Almost £6,000 raised!

We’re incredibly proud to share that our skydive team has currently raised almost £6,000!

This incredible fundraising total will help us continue providing essential support to people experiencing homelessness, from meals and wellbeing activities to workshops and practical support that helps people move forward.

Every donation makes a difference, and we’re so grateful to everyone who supported our team.

British Sugar takes on the Soap Box Derby!

While our skydive team was taking to the skies, another group of supporters was taking on a very different challenge!

Over in Hunstanton, a team from British Sugar returned for the third year running to take part in the Hunstanton Soap Box Derby in support of The Purfleet Trust.

British Sugar have been fantastic partners, and their continued support makes a real difference to the work we do.

From helping to support our new allotment project, the Purfleet Patch, to contributing to our upcoming reflective garden space at the Health & Wellbeing Centre, their partnership helps us create opportunities and spaces that benefit the people we support.

So, it was brilliant to see the team back on the starting line for another year of racing!

A crash, a comeback and an incredible time!

The first run for the British Sugar team took an unfortunate turn, with the cart crashing into the hay bales!

Thankfully, they came back stronger on their second attempt, completing the course in an incredible 33 seconds!

A huge thank you to Josh, Sam, Archie and Gavin for taking part, bringing plenty of enthusiasm and creating a fantastic cart. We’re incredibly grateful for your continued support.
