Celebrating Purfleet’s Local Business Partners
Today, we welcomed our local business sponsors to a lunch at our warehouse giving us the opportunity to share how their partnership has made a difference this year.
17 local businesses came together at the end of last year to sponsor our van, which has had an incredible impact on our work. We use our van to collect donated furniture around West Norfolk, and with these donations, provide House2Home packages that give all the furniture and household items needed for someone moving into their new tenancies.
When people move on from homelessness into new accommodation, their properties are often unfurnished. By providing these essentials through our House2Home packages, we help people to settle in, feel comfortable, take ownership of their tenancies and make the best start possible in their new lives away from homelessness. So far this year, we have provided 18 House2Home packages – supporting 18 people to move on from homelessness for good.
None of this would be possible without use of our van, which has been supported by local businesses who recognise the impact this project has. For their support we’d like to thank:
