All stocked up for winter!
Over the past month or so, we’ve been asking for donations as part of our Reverse Advent Calendar campaign. This annual campaign helps us to prepare for winter at our Health & Wellbeing Centre, by asking for food donations and kitchen staples to support our daily cooked meals and emergency food packages for those who are street homeless or have limited cooking facilities.
Thank you West Norfolk!
We are hugely grateful for the response from this campaign – it has truly blown us away!
After sorting through the donations, we are pleased to have been kindly donated thousands of individual items, like canned food, shower gel, coffee and more, donated by hundreds of kind members of our community.
Thanks to Claire and Tania
We would like to give a special thanks to our long-term volunteers Tania, from Glebe House School, and Claire, from Watlington Drain Renovations, who both organised collections in their area.
They have been incredible in their support. From spreading the word, to collecting and dropping off donations – we couldn’t have done it without you!
A huge thank you to some very kind supporters and Wickes King’s Lynn who donated plastic storage boxes – perfect for keeping all these donations sorted and ready to use!
Ready for winter
Winter is a tough time for many people that we support. With the colder weather, we have a lot of people needing support – especially with hot meals. With the donations from the Reverse Advent Appeal, we will be able to provide warm, nutritious and varied meals to the people we support this winter.
Thank you to all who donated to this campaign, just a few cans and tins makes a difference and your support will go a long, long way as we head into the new year.
