Vital Support with The Next Step Campaign
Over the past two weeks, we’ve been running The Next Step campaign, a fundraising campaign targeted at raising awareness, and vital funds, for our clients’ journeys.
The name ‘The Next Step’ is important. Having worked with people experiencing homelessness for over 30 years, we know that the pathway out of homelessness is not always an easy one. It’s about taking the next step on your unique journey to gain the confidence, skills, support and hope to live independently and reach a more fulfilling future.
As part of this campaign, we shared lots of content on social media, including incredible stories from our clients on how they have taken the next steps on their journey, thanks to support from our incredible staff and services at Purfleet.
As part of the campaign, we released a ‘behind the scenes’ video following our delivery drivers on one of our House2Home package deliveries, which you can watch below!
House2Home is a vital project we launched a few years ago. It provides furniture and homeware to people moving into their independent accommodation, who often have no means to provide their own.
With this campaign now wrapping up, we are delighted to announce that we managed to raise £265 to help people in taking the next step. We’d like to give a huge thank you to our community for coming together and raising money that will help to make a real difference.
Not only this, but we’ve also been able to raise awareness of the journeys of so many of the people we work with. From the initial time they come into the Centre for a hot meal or shower, to the housing advice, employment support, moving into their own tenancy and more, everybody experiencing homelessness needs support to help them take the next step in their journey.
