We are glad to announce the return of our Walking for Wellbeing groups!
These groups have been running the past few summers and allow our clients to explore nature, open up and connect with each other and take their mind off of any problems they might be facing.
This weeks walking saw the group walk 5 miles on the coastal path along the River Ouse.
One of our clients said:
The walk was enjoyable. It was good to get out in the fresh air, get some exercise and it was nice to interact with the group
These Walking for Wellbeing groups run for our clients every Wednesday from the Health & Wellbeing Centre.
We also run a number of other activity groups from our Centre. Physical activity and workshops are a key part of our strategy at Purfleet in helping our clients to move forward on positive pathways out of homelessness.
Activity groups allow our clients to try new things, open up with their support workers and each other, and to improve their mental health.
