What a Day at the West Norfolk Volunteer Fair!
This week, The Purfleet Trust and Community Action Norfolk held the West Norfolk Volunteer Fair at the stunning rooms of King’s Lynn Town Hall!
This event was held to introduce the generous people of West Norfolk to the incredible range of volunteering opportunities available right on their doorstep in West Norfolk.
We were joined by over 30 local charities and good causes, spreading the word of their important work in our community and sharing the wonderful volunteering opportunities that they have available at the moment.
We were joined by The Mayor of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk, Councillor Andy Bullen, who gave a short speech on the importance of volunteers in our area. Voluntary Norfolk also introduced their brilliant online volunteering directory platform, Get Involved Norfolk.
We’d like to give a huge thank you to all the charities that joined us, you brought an amazing atmosphere to the day, and a thank you to King’s Lynn Town Hall for access to the brilliant venue.
This event was made possible through our partnership Community Action Norfolk. We’d like to give a special thank you to Kate from CAN for all of her hard work!
To all those who popped down to check it out – thank you!
Supporting local charities through volunteering is so important to us all. Whether it’s 1 day a month, 1 day a week or just a few hours, everything that you give makes the difference to good causes in our area.
Thank you for your support and keep on volunteering!
