Welcoming British Sugar to Purfleet

This week, we welcomed a team from British Sugar to have a look around our Centre, Pathways warehouse and Purfleet Pantry to learn a little more about what we do here at Purfleet!

Over the past few years, British Sugar, based at Wissington, have been phenomenal supporters of our work and we were delighted to welcome them to Purfleet to speak about how our work, and their support, makes a difference in our community.
Back in September last year, British Sugar competed in the Hunstanton Soap Box Derby, raising money for The Purfleet Trust.

The British Sugar cart, which was designed and built by their apprentices, managed to finish an incredible joint 8th out of 58 carts that raced on the day!

British Sugar have very kindly offered to race Hunstanton’s Soap Box Derby for us again this year!

We’d like to wish them all the best and we can’t wait to see what cart they come up with this time!

We’d like to thank British Sugar for their visit this week. We’ve been able to show them how their support makes an incredible difference to our services, and to people in our community. We hope they have been able to learn a bit more about Purfleet and about what we are doing to support people experiencing homelessness in West Norfolk.

Local business support is vital to The Purfleet Trust and we’d like to give a huge thank you to all of our supporters who help make a difference every day.
